Day Four
Wednesday, July 30, 2008. We decided to give our sunburned shoulders a break from the beach today and packed up the stroller to walk around downtown South Haven.
We visited the Farmers Market first and bought some blueberries and peaches. They had a nice variety of fruits, vegetables, bread and flowers. I wish I could have bought more!
We walked down to the South Haven lighthouse and back and then to the North Beach looking for Bunde's Bakery which had been recommended to us. Unfortunately, our source did not realize they had closed down.
On the way back we stopped at the Michigan Maritime Museum and took a in-port tour of a replica 1810 square sail sloop. We enjoyed that. They take 3 trips out on the lake daily, but we weren't sure how Samuel would do on a "2 hour cruise" so we decided not to risk it.
After the tour we headed to another recommendation -- Clementine's for lunch. We tried to go Sunday evening when we arrived but there was an hour wait. After eating lunch we can understand why!
We relaxed at home the rest of the afternoon.
