Indiana Beach - June 27, 2009
Our visit to Indiana Beach Amusement Park on June 27, 2009. Samuel's first trip to an amusement park and his first "real" roller coaster rides!
We rode the Hoosier Hurricane first and then right to Rocky's Rapid Log Flume. Samuel really liked both. After waiting a bit we rode the Sea Dragon (pirate ship that rocks back and forth). Samuel's eyes got VERY big on the way down as he experienced the weightlessness. Finally the last couple of times he started laughing.
The last coaster we rode was the Galaxi -- the first roller coaster at Indiana Beach (in 1971). It's similar to Cedar Point's Schwarzkopf "WildCat" that we liked so much.
Indiana Beach opened in 1927 as Ideal Beach on the shores of Lake Shafer and has Indiana's first "major" steel roller coaster.
